Corrosion-focused material
Select the grade against the actual chemical medium and temperature. General material properties do not replace a compatibility assessment.
MATERIAL · GEOMETRY · DELIVERY SCOPE
The required delivery state is as important as the material name. A semi-finished blank leaves work for the next operation; a finished zirconium part needs agreed final geometry, surface condition and acceptance checks.
State the supplied form and dimensions, remaining machining allowance, material specification and surface condition needed for the next process. Use the blank selection guide to distinguish supplied dimensions from the finished drawing.
Identify datums, mating faces, openings, holes and the surfaces that contact the process. Include the actual medium and operating conditions for review. Link each critical requirement to the drawing and the requested inspection record.
Specification wording example: “Quote to drawing revision [your revision]. Identify the required zirconium grade, delivered condition, critical interfaces and inspection records. Mark any later machining or joining separately.” This is an enquiry template, not a completed customer order or a universal capability claim. Discuss the finished component scope before production.
