Custom Tungsten Products

Tungsten sheets and plates, rod forms and crucibles for custom industrial requirements. Choose the required form below and specify the material designation, dimensions, critical features and actual operating environment.

Tungsten material properties & specification reference

Tungsten is a dense refractory metal with a high melting-point reference. Pure tungsten, tungsten heavy alloys and tungsten carbide are separate material systems; a familiar product shape does not make their properties interchangeable.

Material identity

Select pure tungsten or a named alloy with an agreed chemistry and condition.

Thermal operating context

Specify vacuum or gas atmosphere, exposure to air, thermal cycles, load and contact media. Melting point is not an operating-temperature guarantee.

Drawing-based geometry

Define critical dimensions, datum surfaces, finish and inspection requirements for the actual component.

Material identityTungsten (W)Element reference; identify the industrial grade separately
Atomic number74Element identity
Density at room temperature19.3 g/cm³Reference for the element; delivered material depends on grade and condition
Melting point3414 °CElement phase-change reference, not a continuous service-temperature rating

Purity reference in product files≥99.95% for specified pure-metal examplesConfirm required chemistry and certificate scope for the order; not applied to alloys

Tungsten Sheet & Plate

Tungsten sheet and plate for custom flat blanks, thermal parts and further machining. Define the tungsten grade, thickness, cut dimensions, surface condition and operating environment for a project-specific manufacturing review.

Tungsten Rods

Tungsten rod forms and drawing-based blanks for equipment and thermal component projects. Specify the material designation, diameter, length, end details and intended use so the geometry and manufacturing requirements can be reviewed together.

Tungsten Crucibles

Drawing-based tungsten crucibles for specified thermal-process requirements. Submit the tungsten grade, internal and external geometry, wall and base details, charge material and operating conditions for a custom quotation.

Material and application requirements

Keep pure tungsten distinct from tungsten heavy alloy and cemented carbide. If your requirement calls for an alloy or composite, send its exact designation. A melting point or a material family should not be treated as a finished-part service rating.
Customization inputWhat to specifyDetails for review
Material specificationExact material grade or standardIdentify required chemistry, condition and any permitted substitutions
Geometry and functionProduct form, drawing revision and interfacesMark the dimensions and surfaces that control fit or performance
Service environmentProcess, atmosphere, thermal/electrical or mechanical dutyProvide conditions relevant to the actual material and component
Procurement scopeQuantity, checks, documents and destinationInclude your requested schedule and delivery requirements
A material blank and a finished assembly need different specifications. State which dimensions will be processed later and which features must meet your drawing on delivery. For a replacement, send the original material designation and note changes to the equipment or operating conditions.

A practical starting point for custom procurement

You can begin an enquiry with a drawing, sketch or description of the application. Mark unknown details and provide enough context to review the material and part. Photographs help explain the shape or installation, but do not replace dimensioned requirements for manufacture.
Product pages provide the relevant customization inputs. Grade, achievable geometry, surface requirements, inspection documents and production scope are discussed for the individual project. We do not present one fixed tolerance, service temperature or lead time for all products.

Tungsten applications & selection inputs

Reflector and chamber-related machined component examples
Vacuum-equipment component geometry from our company materials. The photograph illustrates features and interfaces; specify the required metal grade.

Tungsten components in vacuum and thermal equipment need the material grade, assembly interfaces and operating conditions defined together.

Use the examples below to prepare a drawing-based enquiry. Final material suitability and achievable geometry are reviewed for your project.

Furnace & thermal assemblies

Define atmosphere, cycle, mechanical load and installation details for shields, supports or other thermal parts.

Process containers

Share charge composition, heating method and contamination requirements for a crucible or container.

Equipment & machined components

Provide mating interfaces, material grade and the surface or dimensional checks your equipment requires.

Request a tungsten products quotation

Email your drawing, sketch or initial requirements to sales@bomometals.com. Include the following information where available:
  • Choose the product form and provide the dimensions, drawing, material grade and operating conditions.
  • Material grade or standard, drawing revision and component function.
  • First-order quantity, expected repeat demand and required inspection or material documents.
  • Operating conditions, delivery country and location, and requested schedule.
We review the achievable specification, inspection scope, packaging and quotation terms for your project. A photograph can start the discussion; dimensioned information is needed to define manufacture.
