Custom Molybdenum Products

Molybdenum material forms and finished components organized by the part you need: sheets and plates, rods, crucibles, electrodes and fasteners. Use the product pages to define geometry and application requirements, then send a drawing-based enquiry.

Molybdenum material properties & specification reference

Molybdenum is a refractory metal used in specified thermal and equipment components. Its lower density relative to tungsten can be relevant to an assembly design. Pure Mo, carbide-strengthened TZM and lanthanum-oxide-dispersed MoLa must be treated as separate material specifications.

Material identity

Select pure molybdenum or a named alloy with an agreed chemistry and condition.

Thermal operating context

Specify vacuum or gas atmosphere, exposure to air, thermal cycles, load and contact media. Melting point is not an operating-temperature guarantee.

Drawing-based geometry

Define critical dimensions, datum surfaces, finish and inspection requirements for the actual component.

Molybdenum Sheet & Plate

Molybdenum sheet and plate for cut blanks, furnace shielding and drawing-based components. Specify your material grade, thickness, width, length and surface requirements so we can review a custom manufacturing route and quotation.

Molybdenum Rods

Molybdenum rods and bars for machining blanks, supports, lead-out parts and specified thermal components. Share the grade, diameter, length, surface condition and critical features for review and quotation.

Molybdenum Crucibles

Molybdenum crucibles and cup-shaped process containers made around your drawing and operating requirements. Define the internal geometry, wall and base thickness, charge material, atmosphere and heating method for quotation review.

Molybdenum Electrodes

Molybdenum electrode enquiries for glass-melting and other explicitly specified process duties. Define the grade, working dimensions, connection geometry, electrical duty and operating environment so the electrode requirements can be reviewed for your equipment.

Molybdenum Fasteners

Drawing-based molybdenum bolts, screws, nuts and related fastening parts for specified equipment and furnace assemblies. Define the material, thread system, geometry, mating parts and operating load for manufacturing review and quotation.

Material and application requirements

Pure molybdenum, TZM and MoLa are separate material choices. Use the designation required by your drawing or describe the thermal and mechanical duty if the material is still open. The material name alone does not establish a service temperature, purity or achievable tolerance.
Customization inputWhat to specifyDetails for review
Material specificationExact material grade or standardIdentify required chemistry, condition and any permitted substitutions
Geometry and functionProduct form, drawing revision and interfacesMark the dimensions and surfaces that control fit or performance
Service environmentProcess, atmosphere, thermal/electrical or mechanical dutyProvide conditions relevant to the actual material and component
Procurement scopeQuantity, checks, documents and destinationInclude your requested schedule and delivery requirements
A material blank and a finished assembly need different specifications. State which dimensions will be processed later and which features must meet your drawing on delivery. For a replacement, send the original material designation and note changes to the equipment or operating conditions.

A practical starting point for custom procurement

You can begin an enquiry with a drawing, sketch or description of the application. Mark unknown details and provide enough context to review the material and part. Photographs help explain the shape or installation, but do not replace dimensioned requirements for manufacture.
Product pages provide the relevant customization inputs. Grade, achievable geometry, surface requirements, inspection documents and production scope are discussed for the individual project. We do not present one fixed tolerance, service temperature or lead time for all products.

Molybdenum applications & selection inputs

Multi-layer thermal assembly inside furnace equipment
Furnace thermal assembly shown in our brochure. Atmosphere, load, fit and thermal cycling belong in the component specification.

Molybdenum thermal components are selected around the furnace layout, atmosphere, loading and service cycle.

Use the examples below to prepare a drawing-based enquiry. Final material suitability and achievable geometry are reviewed for your project.

Furnace & thermal assemblies

Define atmosphere, cycle, mechanical load and installation details for shields, supports or other thermal parts.

Process containers

Share charge composition, heating method and contamination requirements for a crucible or container.

Equipment & machined components

Provide mating interfaces, material grade and the surface or dimensional checks your equipment requires.

Request a molybdenum products quotation

Email your drawing, sketch or initial requirements to sales@bomometals.com. Include the following information where available:
  • Choose the product form and provide the dimensions, drawing, material grade and operating conditions.
  • Material grade or standard, drawing revision and component function.
  • First-order quantity, expected repeat demand and required inspection or material documents.
  • Operating conditions, delivery country and location, and requested schedule.
We review the achievable specification, inspection scope, packaging and quotation terms for your project. A photograph can start the discussion; dimensioned information is needed to define manufacture.
