A vacuum furnace hot zone is a coordinated internal assembly of heating, shielding and supporting components.
BOMO METALS · DRAWING-BASED MANUFACTURING
Custom vacuum furnace hot zones and replacement components, manufactured to your drawing or developed from measured equipment and existing parts. BOMO Metals supports dimensional survey, design review and replacement planning for older furnace hot zones, from an individual component to an agreed assembly scope.

PRODUCT FAMILY 07
Explore five separate product and service pages. Complete assemblies, shield packs and heating-band layouts are reviewed as systems; material-specific components remain available through the related product links.

01
A vacuum furnace hot zone is a coordinated internal assembly of heating, shielding and supporting components.

02
Heat-shield assemblies surround the work zone and form part of the furnace thermal design.

03
Custom metallic heating bands and formed element assemblies for vacuum-furnace hot zones.

04
Drawing-based racks, fixtures, hearth parts and support components for vacuum-furnace loading and hot-zone assembly.

05
Replace an older vacuum-furnace hot zone using drawing review, dimensional survey and custom manufacture of the agreed assembly or components.
Send the approved drawing, revision, material requirements and acceptance criteria. Identify complete assemblies, subassemblies and individual spare parts separately.
Where drawings are incomplete, use measurements, equipment records and existing parts to develop the required geometry. Survey method, access and drawing approval are agreed for the project.
Record the present condition, interfaces to retain and intended duty. Compare an agreed rebuild scope with a new replacement assembly before committing to manufacture.
WORKSHOP WALKTHROUGH
This short workshop video shows a cylindrical assembly from the exterior into the internal component layout. Use it as a manufacturing reference when discussing access, component arrangement and the replacement scope.
For your own furnace, send a current drawing or measured sketch and photographs of the interfaces. The assembly shown does not establish a universal material grade, temperature rating or standard size.
Discuss a hot-zone project →Discuss the work-zone dimensions, process atmosphere and vacuum requirements, thermal cycle, heating-system duty and loading arrangement. Metal grades and layer configurations are selected for the approved design; a photograph alone cannot establish operating suitability.
Describe the alloy being processed, load arrangement, temperature cycle and required cleanliness. Mark the interfaces between the replacement assembly and retained furnace equipment.
Identify process materials, potential deposits, supports and cleaning requirements. Review compatibility with the atmosphere and cycle before selecting materials.
Start with the furnace model, available records and measured dimensions. A model name helps identify the equipment; replacement fit is confirmed against approved interfaces.
Choose material-specific parts when the grade and individual component are already defined. For a coordinated internal assembly or a replacement project, use this hot-zone family and its dedicated pages.
Material grade, condition and compatibility with the furnace duty are confirmed for the approved design. Material melting points are not service-temperature ratings.
The agreed scope may be a complete internal assembly, a shield pack, heating bands, load fixtures or individual replacement parts. Start with the product page closest to your need, then identify the supplied and retained items in the drawing package.
Yes. Approved drawings can be used for manufacture; incomplete records can start a dimensional-survey and design review. Measurements, interfaces and material specifications must be resolved and approved before production.
State the existing or required grade and material condition. Molybdenum, tungsten and the separately specified MoLa and TZM options are reviewed against the component function and furnace duty; the photographs do not establish a grade or temperature rating.
Send available equipment records, a measured sketch and photographs of the hot zone and connection points. Mark missing information so the survey method and replacement scope can be agreed.
Send what is available and mark what still needs review: furnace information, geometry, material, process duty, quantity, destination and the replacement scope.
